Education Opportunities

The University of the Arctic (UArctic) is a cooperative network of universities, colleges, and other organizations committed to higher education and research in the North. Our members share resources, facilities, and expertise to build post-secondary education programs that are relevant and accessible to northern students. Our overall goal is to create a strong, sustainable circumpolar region by empowering northerners and northern communities through education and shared knowledge.

SIOI and LUMSA – Libera Università Maria Ss. Assunta organize the first-level University Master's Degree in Geopolitical Analysis, which will take place in blended mode from 4 December 2025.




A new online course on snow physics has been launched. Unpacking the Snowpack -course is developed together with the UArctic Thematic Network on Nordic Snow Network. The course offers a comprehensive introduction to the snow science and it is now available to learners worldwide.




Organizers announce the official launch of the ADVANCEing FieldSafety training program. The training program was developed to help the field-going community in creating and building safe and welcoming field environments.
