  • Three EU sister’s projects convened joint session on One Health at the major international interdisciplinary conference
    • On June 4-6, 2025, The University of Oulu and Oulu University of Applied Sciences hosted the 47th Association for Interdisciplinary Studies Conference “Shaping the Future in the Era of Polycrisis”. Read more here.
  • Mentorship program – Thematic Network on Health and Well-being in the Arctic
  • IJCH special issue “Culture, Language and Land in Childbirth Practice”
  • Publication and blog post: "A transdisciplinary, comparative analysis reveals key risks from Arctic permafrost thaw"
  • Multidisciplinary, postgraduate 10 ECTS course on One Health in Northern Communities and Ecosystems
    • One Health in the two-module (on-site and online) course with a focus on Northern Communities and Ecosystems.

  • Putting Maternal and Child Health on the Arctic Research Agenda
    • The Circumpolar Maternal and Child Health working group under the TN for Health and Wellbeing held two successful sessions during the ICARP IV. Read more here.
  • Christine Ingemann attending ICARP IV as a RPT5 member representing UArctic
    • Christine Ingemann represents UArctic in the research priority team 5 on co-production and indigenous-led methodologies. Attending ICARP IV involved networking and meeting with team members. Contributing to sessions and especially taking notes and reporting them back into the ICARP IV reporting form. 
  • Follow up on the project Naapinneq - Gathering of Inuit in Greenland and Nunavut
    • The first activities in the Naapinneq project were funded by UArctic, which involved bringing researchers, practitioners and knowledge holders from Nuuk (Greenland) to Iqaluit (Nunavut) to strengthen relationships and collaborations on maternal and child health. This was very successful and we recently had a follow-up meeting to plan next steps in this project.
  • 12th NUNAMED (October 2025) – A Meeting Platform for UArctic TN Health Researchers and Professionals
    • The UArctic Thematic Network on Health and Well-being in the Arctic (TNHW) actively participated in the triennial NUNAMED2025 health conference held in Nuuk, Greenland, from 3–5 October 2025. Many TNHW members contributed to the conference not only as participants but also by shaping the program with a broad spectrum of circumpolar health topics. Read more here.
  • Building Stronger Arctic Health Networks: Meeting in Nuuk
    • On October 6–7, 2025, partners of the UArctic project “Strengthening Arctic Health Networks through Partnerships and Mentorship Program” gathered for an inspiring two-day meeting, held alongside the NunaMed Conference (October 3–5). Read more here
  • AMAUTI Podcast: Pearls of Wisdom
    • The AMAUTI Podcast: Pearls of Wisdom is a new initiative created in collaboration with Christine Ingemann, Ruth Montgomery-Andersen and produced by Siri Paulsen from Sialuk Productions. The project began as an idea in spring 2023 and came to life with the first recordings in 2024. Read more here.

  • Healthy Ageing in the Nordic region: highlights from the meeting of scholars in Copenhagen in 25-26 November 2025
    • The final third year of the NAPA Nordic Arctic Programme funded project “Arctic Healthy Aging communities: Safe and inclusive out-door environment and public spaces (The Nordic AHA-Communities)” is at its very busy midst. Read more here.
