north2north

Dechinta Bush University Centre for Research and Learning is a land-based university located on the Chief Drygeese Territory at a remote eco-lodge accessible only by bush plane, snowmobile or dog team. Since 2009 Dechinta has been making great efforts to provide a decolonial method to post-secondary programming using a rigorous land-based pedagogy. Our programming is led by elders, community leaders and leading professors from our partnering universities at the; University of Alberta, University of British Columbia, and the University of McGill. Conduct your own research while hunting, fishing and wild harvesting led by a dynamic and diverse faculty, and become part of a self-governing sustainable community.
