Leeds Beckett University

Leeds Beckett University is a higher education institution that provides access to education for wide range of learners, promoting cultural awareness and diversity through the curriculum provided. The University is located in two main campuses in Leeds in the north of England; one in Leeds city centre and the other in the Headingley area on the outskirts of the city. The University offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses across thirteen schools. Leeds Beckett has almost 30,000 studetns, 3000 staff and 300,000 associate students through a network of partner colleges. 

Leeds Beckett provides predominantly vocationally orientated higher education programmes to a body of students drawn from the UK, Europe and many other countries world-wide. It provides diverse undergraduate and postgraduate professional qualifying award programmes at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level in cooperation with professional bodies and employers.

With a 190-year history of education, which began with the founding of Leeds Mechanics Institute in 1824, we are proud of our history and excited about  future opportunties that lie ahead. Leeds Beckett University has an ambition to continue to be an excellent, accessbile, globally engaged university contributing positively to a thriving Northern economy.
