University Centre of the West Fjords Seeking a Master's Program Director
The University Centre of the West Fjords seeks a capable person for a demanding new positions: director of the master's program in Coastal and Marine Management.
This new, international, interdisciplinary course of study at the master's level is under development at the University Centre.
On offer is an exciting position in Isajörour, in a small and progressive academic environment. The Master's Program Director will have a unique opportunity to take the initiative in creating an oustanding study and work environment for an international group of students. The position demands considerable organizational ability, professional working habits, and a willingness to offer superb service. The Program Director may become involved in teaching as well.Necessary qualifications:
- Education in environmental and resource management (or a related field) preferred
- Master's degree
- Service- mindedness and a willingness to please
- Organizational ability
- Initiative and flexibility
- Good English skills, and preferably Icelandic and Nordic language ability as well
The University Centre of the West Fjords is a recently founded university-level institution. Its mission is to provide quality service to distance learning students in the West Fjords, and to attract students both from Iceland and abroad.
