Call for Pre-Proposals: UAF's West Coast and Polar Regions Undersean Research Center

uaf logo
The West Coast and Polar Regions Undersea Research Center of NOAA's Undersea Research Program at the University of Alaska Fairbanks invites pre-proposals for research and technological innovation beginning in 2008.
Programmatic themes for this solicitation are: the International Polar Year and technological innovation in marine ecosystem and fisheries research. This departure from the Center's traditional call for full proposals has been developed in response to ongoing budget uncertainties. It is anticipated that a limited number of full proposals will be requested from those submitting pre-proposals in this solicitation. Funding decisions are expected early in 2008.

The West Coast and Polar Regions Undersea Research Center supports highly rated, peer reviewed proposals to conduct undersea research in the Arctic and Antarctic polar regions, Alaska, and the U.S. West Coast, including the northeastern Pacific and waters off California, Oregon, and Washington.

Pre-proposals must be submitted by 19 October 2007.

Pre-proposal requirements and application instructions are available at: http://www.westnurc.uaf.edu/rfpp07.html
