UA logo3 colour
The Council of the University of the Arctic (UArctic) has decided to establish three Regional Offices of Undergraduate Studies. The three offices will be responsible for the distance degree completion delivery of UArctic’s Circumpolar Studies Program within their respective regions: North America, Russia, and the Nordic-Barents Region.
Member institutions of the University of the Arctic are invited to send proposals to the University of the Arctic to host a Regional Office of Undergraduate Studies for Russia or the Nordic-Barents Region. Note that the call does not apply to the North American Office at this time as the term of the current office is until June 2009.

In the proposal the applicant should demonstrate its adherence to the University of the Arctic’s values and goals, demonstrate relevant competency and experience in international cooperation and the ability to deliver distance education at the bachelor's level.

Where relevant, the applicant should present the experience the institution has had in participating in the development and/or delivery of the Circumpolar Studies Program.

Applicants are requested to present evidence of support of the institution to host the office by a letter from the rector, as well as a clear financial plan, consistent with the proposal approved by the Council. The institution should be prepared to work with the UArctic to secure funding for the activity.

Applications are invited to be submitted to the University of the Arctic Secretariat at the latest by August 31, 2007. Please also note the pre call announcement sent to UArctic members in June 2007.
