Hosted by the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR) and International Arctic Science Committee (IASC), the conference will be held on 8-11 July 2008, in St. Petersburg, Russia, under the theme, "Polar Research: Arctic and Antarctic Perspectives in the International Polar Year."Conference attendees are advised to register before Tuesday, 1 April 2008, to benefit from the early bird registration fee.
