Invitation to 7th ARKTIS Seminar
Arctic Graduate School (ARKTIS) will organise it's 7th Annual Research Seminar, 1-3th April, 2009. The seminar will be organised in honour of the Arctic Centre's 20 years' anniversary. The seminar theme is "Towards an integrated understanding of industrialization and climate change in social-ecological systems of the North". The seminar will be held at the Arctic Centre, in Rovaniemi, Finland (Arktikum, Pohjoisranta 4). All doctoral students, supervisors, scientific advisers and collaborators of ARKTIS and others interested in are welcome to participate in the seminar.
The seminar will include interesting keynote lectures from leading international scientists addressing various perspectives of the change in northern communities. More details about the seminar are available here.
The key part of the seminar will be student contributions, including oral seminar presentations about thesis research, interdisciplinary discussions and group works.
