Al Gore to speak at Arctic Conference

Former US Vice President Al Gore and EALÁT project leader will speak at the 'MELTING ICE – REGIONAL DRAMAS, GLOBAL WAKE-UP CALL' Conference in Tromso, Norway, April 28.
EALÁT project leader Ole Henrik Magga, key EALÁT partner Robert Corell and former US Vice President Al Gore are among the keynote speakers to the prestigious conference 'MELTING ICE – REGIONAL DRAMAS, GLOBAL WAKE-UP CALL' being held in Tromso, 28 April, prior to the annual Arctic Council ministerial meeting and is organised by the Norwegian Ministry for Foreign Affairs.

The welcome speech will be made by Norwegian Minister for Foreign Affairs, Jonas Gahr Støre. This will be followed by a speech by former Vice President Al Gore, who in turn will be followed by Ole Henrik Magga, whose presentation title is 'Perspectives of Arctic Indigenous Peoples'. Robert Corell will moderate the afternoon session and also present lessons learned from the ACIA Report.
