The successful applicant will provide essential support for research and teaching activities of the Center, managing critical data, software, and hardware needs. This position also fields public and media inquiries related to weather and climate change issues and interacts with undergraduate students by teaching a course on climatology each fall semester. Occasional travel and on-call hours are expected.

Candidates must have a background in meteorology, climatology, paleoclimatology, or a related field (minimum requirement is an M.S.
degree); be familiar with statistical methods of climate data analysis; have programming experience (e.g. - FORTRAN, IDL, MATLAB) and experience with using NetCDF.
