"Nunavut Governance and the Incorporation of Inuit Traditional Knowledge"

ARKTIS Graduate School and the Arctic Centre, with the support of the Embassy of Canada in Finland, organise an open seminar on Monday, March 29, 2010 at 14.00 at the Aurora Hall, Arktikum.
Northern governance and the use of traditional knowledge

The guest speaker of the seminar is Ms. June Shappa, Circumpolar Affairs Advisor, Department of Executive and Intergovernmental Affairs, Government of Nunavut, Canada, who will discuss the unique governance system of Nunavut and the incorporation of Inuit traditional knowledge in both governance and scientific activity.

The event will be chaired by Dr. Elina Helander-Renvall, Senior Scientist, Arctic Centre, University of Lapland.
