One third of new master's students at University of Westfjords from other UArctic members
Having been member of the UArctic since 2006, the University
Centre of the Westfjords has established an intensive relationship with
the Higher Education Institutions of the high north and is an active
part of UArctic.
The tight connections within the circumpolar north are also reflected by the master's students: Although the 2011 cohort comes from a variety of countries and universities, UArctic graduates amount to one third of this year's master's students. Thus, UWestfjords seems to become a meeting point for UArctic students, bringing UArctic visions and values from the circumpolar north with them to the Westfjords of Iceland.
