UArctic EALAT Institute at Arctic Frontiers
The theme of Arctic Frontiers 2012 is energy in the High North, under the banner of 'Polar Might.' The UArctic EALAT Institute at the International
Centre for Reindeer Husbandry is preparing a session on impact
assessment related industrial development in the Arctic.
Reindeer
herders and spesialists on impact assessment in Yamal Nenet AO will be
present and contribute with new insights. We invite you all to submit
abstracts and to contribute to a new discussion and understanding of
impact assessments and industrial development of the Arctic related to
reindeer herders and indigenous peoples societies. We hope to create
space for comparative discussions on impacts assessments with case
studies from different states and regions present.
