Bachelors of Circumpolar Studies at the State Polar Academy

On the 15th of March, for the first time, the State Polar Academy granted three diplomas of Bachelors of Circumpolar Studies. Graduates Renata Kunitsa, Svetlana Moskvina and Irina Dondokova started studying at Bodø University college (nowadays University of Norland) in 2009. They completed all the core courses online and then were granted a chance to do advanced emphasis courses for half a year in Norway.
Marit Sundet with her colleagues arrived from University of Nordland, Bodø in Saint-Petersburg not only to greet the graduates but also to meet with 24 new BCS students who will start the programme the coming autumn. During the meeting the students got a chance to get a deeper understanding what BCS programme is and ask the Norwegian professors all the questions that interested them.

The Rector of the State Polar Academy Kermen M. Basangova and the Vice Rector attended parts of the meeting.
