About Polar Educators International
PEI is a global professional network for those who educate in, for, and about the Polar Regions. Since its announcement at the IPY 2012: From Knowledge to Action conference in Montreal, QC, Canada on April 25, 2012, PEI has grown to include over 350 members, and recently installed its first Council and Executive Committee. The group has also received endorsements from the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR) and the Association of Polar Early Career Scientists (APECS).

About the International Arctic Science Committee
IASC is a non-­governmental organization established in 1990 to “encourage and facilitate cooperation in all aspects of Arctic research, in all countries engaged in Arctic research and in all areas of the Arctic region.” IASC is governed by a Council comprised of one delegate appointed from each of its 21 member nations.
