The positions are primarily research positions and will focus on Sámi research from the perspective of law and/or social sciences. Sámi research in this context is defined broadly to enable approaching the topic through the structures and strategies of the Sámi society, from a national or international perspective, especially through indigenous peoples’ dimension. Social and cultural structures, sources of livelihood and the use of land, administration and legislation, the arts and education, and institutions and interpersonal relations form starting points for research that can focus on exploring and analysing Sámi individuals’ and Sámi communities’ ways of working and relations to other actors.
