Master of Landscape Architecture in Tromsø

The Master of Landscape Architecture programme focuses on the changes and challenges generated by climate change, geopolitical forces, increased industrialization and migration in Circumpolar landscapes. It is is a joint cooperation between the University of Tromsø and the Oslo School of Architecture and Design. Deadline for applications: 15 April 2014.
The master programme at the Tromsø Academy of Landscape and Territorial Studies takes a critical approach to emerging territorial, industrial, infrastructural and urban challenges in the Circumpolar North. It is a new and unique study programme located in Northern Norway, a region undergoing radical change.
Students learn to plan for a sustainable development in sub-arctic territories and to design for the development of cities, settlements, ecosystems and infrastructure. The programme is able to draw from a wide pool of international teachers and researchers.
Visiting students are welcome for one semester or more.
