Results of the international forum "Non-ferrous metals and minerals"
Scientists and students of Siberian Federal University took part in the VII International Congress and Exhibition "Non-Ferrous Metals and Minerals - 2015", which took place in Krasnoyarsk 14-17 September 2015.
The congress traditionally held the conferences such as "Gold of Siberia", "Metallurgy ferrous and rare metals”, “Aluminum of Siberia”. The conference “Aluminum of Siberia” had its 20’s anniversary.
The congress was attended by over 500 professionals from 172 companies in 20 countries (Australia, Austria, Germany, Azerbaijan, Britain, Germany, Denmark, Italy, Kazakhstan, Canada, Poland, France, the Czech Republic and others). The Congress invited representatives of major mining and metals companies as well as leading Russian universities, research and academic institutions.
For the first time the Congress included new sections and expanded topics related to the metallurgy of heavy non-ferrous metals. The participants presented more than 200 reports of the following areas:
• mineral resources base of nonferrous and precious metals;
• modern technologies of extraction and processing of mineral raw materials;
• production of alumina and bauxite;
• silicon obtaining;
• mining and metallurgical equipment.
The forum is a platform that allows discussing and solving the pressing problems of metallurgy. This year, for the first time youth marketplace "School of Metallurgists" was organized and took place on the basis of the All-Russian contest of technological cases.
