The 4th China-Nordic Arctic Cooperation Symposium
The 4th China-Nordic Arctic Cooperation Symposium will take place in Rovaniemi, Finland, June 6-9, 2016. The meeting is hosted by the Arctic Centre, University of Lapland and organized by the China-Nordic Arctic Research Centre (CNARC). The call for abstracts is now open, with a deadline of February 25, 2016.
The China-Nordic Arctic Symposium is an international and multi-disciplinary event bringing together researchers, industry representatives, policy-makers and community leaders to present and discuss research findings and issues relating to growing Nordic-Asian Arctic cooperation.
The China-Nordic Arctic Research Center (CNARC) was established in Shanghai on 10th December 2013. It is a network of eleven Member Institutes, five Chinese and six Nordic, which all have capacities to influence and coordinate Arctic research. CNARC’s purpose is to provide a platform for academic cooperation to increase awareness, understanding and knowledge of the Arctic and its global impacts, as well as to promote cooperation for sustainable development of the Nordic Arctic and coherent development of China in a global context.
