IV Lisbon International Arctic Workshop and Conference
The Centro de Administração e Políticas Públicas (CAPP) of the ISCSP is organizing the IV Lisbon International Arctic Workshop and Conference on "Artic Global Sustainable Development, Challanges and Resilience - From Climate Change to Security, People and Places". The event will take place on December 5th.
The theme for this year's conference is Arctic Global Sustainable Development, Challenges and Resilience - From climate change to security, people and places and it will be an invitation for a deeper reflection crossing Political Science, Strategy, Strategic Studies and International Relations.
Lassi Heininen, Professor of University of Lapland will be closing the conference with his intervention on: "(Re)conceptualizing 'environmentized' Security Nexus of the 'global' Artic - are Putin's Russia and Trump's US committed to the high Arctic stability?".
Moreover Tuesday noon there will be a Portuguese launch of the 2016 Arctic Yearbook with representatives of a few Arctic embassies in Lisbon. There will also be a few tens of printed hard copies of the book.
