International Summer School “Monitoring and early warnings in biodiversity governance”
Siberian Federal University (Krasnoyarsk, Russia), with the support from the Erasmus+ Jean-Monnet program of the European Union, is organising the international summer school “Monitoring and early warnings in biodiversity governance” in July 11–24, 2016.
The school venues are the summer camp of Siberian Federal University on the Krasnoyarsk water reservoir, and the main university campus in the city of Krasnoyarsk; the field research period will be in the Ergaki Nature Reserve in Sayany mountains.
The summer course provides students with understanding of principles and instruments for the development of MRV systems for biodiversity and landscape governance, participatory approaches for co-designing and setting-up such systems, strategies and instruments for communicating observation results to decision-making and broader public, science-policy interfaces in biodiversity and landscape conservation.
