Seminar and book launch on Sami reindeer husbandry in Finnmark
Are there alternative solutions for the management of reindeer husbandry in Finnmark, Norway? On February 9, 2016 a seminar is held Kautokeino, Norway in connection with the launch of a new textbook on Sami reindeer husbandry in Finnmark.
Organized jointly by the International Centre for Reindeer Husbandry, Sami University College, UArctic EALÁT Institute and Norwegian University of Life Sciences, the seminar includes presentations on the development of reindeer husbandry and a lavvu dialogue to introduce alternative solutions.
The book "Sami reindeer husbandry, Norwegian myths" is a product of Dávggas, an interdisciplinary research project on Sami reindeer husbandry in Finnmark.
