New UArctic Student Ambassadors appointed

UArctic’s Board of Governors has appointed seven new students as UArctic Student Ambassadors, bringing the total number of Ambassadors to 21. Nominated by individual UArctic higher education institution members, Ambassador appointments are for a three-year term.

UArctic Student Ambassadors represent the UArctic network as well as their own home institutions on and off campus. As the face of UArctic’s educational activities, the Ambassadors participate in relevant UArctic events and meetings; share their own UArctic experiences to highlight the opportunities and benefits that the network has to offer; communicate online and face to face with past and present students from across UArctic's membership; and function as a liaison between the student community and UArctic's leadership.

The new Student Ambassadors will receive their training during the UArctic Congress 2016 in St Petersburg, Russia in September 2016.
