Plasma Research and Education Center in Petrozavodsk, Russia
Plasma Research and Education Center (REC Plasma) was opened at Petrozavodsk State University in the fall 2002. It brought together local research teams that focus on problems of fundamental physics. Now the Plasma Center unites scholars and researchers from all over the world. It is always open to new projects and collaboration.
There are several unique automated information-measuring complexes based on high-resolution equipment for optical, spectroscopic, X-ray, chromatographic, mass spectroscopic, and other research.
The Center's research areas include:
-
Nano- and Microstructures
-
Plasma Crystals
-
Matter Modification in Plasma
-
The influence of plasma-chemical processes and energy saturation on modification of various natural polymers and biological structures.
-
Achievements in plasma-chemical processes are applied to biomedicine, sanitation, metallurgy, mining, timber, and energy-conservation industries.
-
Plasma Generators
REC "Plasma" invites all organizations and individuals to cooperate, both in the scientific and research areas.
