2nd symposium of TN Teacher Education
The UArctic Thematic Network on Teacher Education for Social Justice and Diversity in Education held its 2nd symposium on 10-12 September 2016 in Helsinki, Finland.
The recently established TN engaged in refining the work plan for the coming two years, as well as outlining the joint research on seeing education with northern eyes. The participants discussed the importance of understanding education, and teacher education in particular, within the context, and the joint research will provide insights from teachers working in the Northern, small communities, and help teacher education institutions look at the relevance of their programmes in this respect.
