The symposium will feature Indigenous keynote speakers and a range of speakers presenting sustainable indigenous tourism research.
This research symposium will be interactive with participants being able to attend the event in person or online as it will be hosted live. A virtual think tank will allow participants to share ideas, innovations, and news.
Discussion before and after the event will also be made possible through our various social media platforms. The poster session will also allow student participation.

The research symposium will be delivered by Ryerson University and the Ted Rogers School of Hospitality & Tourism Management in partnership with WINTA, Vancouver Island University, University of Tasmania, Cape Breton University and Canadian Ecotourism Services.
The event has been funded by the Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada.
The symposium will foster Indigenous tourism and will also celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday.
