This experiential learning opportunity will include lectures, seminars, and guest speakers, and will investigate issues and opportunities through themes such as tourism and climate change, northern cultures, winter tour operators and tourism entrepreneurship, winter tourism development, planning and strategies. Learners will also participate in signature Yukon visitor experiences including dog sledding, aurora viewing, natural hot springs, and more. Fees include experiential activities, 6 nights’ accommodations, and much more.

Field School Facilitator:
Dr. Suzanne de la Barre teaches Vancouver Island University’s (VIU) Recreation and Tourism program, as well as the Master of Arts in Sustainable Leisure Management. Credit options: undergraduate and graduate level credit options available, non-credit participation is welcome.

Cost: Approx. $1850 CDN (to be confirmed). $100 deposit required to hold your spot.
