Design student group Darktic in Wanted Design event in Brooklyn
Group of design students of University of Lapland have created a booth full of interactive artworks to be presented in Wanted Design event in Brooklyn Industrial City on May 17-21 2018. Event is part of NYCxDESIGN design week.
Darktic consists of 12 undergraduate students and 2 supervisors from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lapland, with the support of the VARPU project. Together they have a combined accumulation of knowledge from Industrial, Interior & Textile, Clothing, Audiovisual, Graphic and Service Design.
The goal of project is to create an experience for the exhibition participator, one where they will develop a deeper understanding of the arctic and the design inspired by it. The theme of the booth is contrasts in Arctic environment and it's connection to Arctic Designers mindscape.
