UArctic’s VP Organization Appointed as Hokkaido University Ambassador
Outi Snellman, UArctic Vice-President Organization and Director of International Relations of the University of Lapland, has been appointed as Hokkaido University Ambassador. Her role is to enhance academic relations between Hokkaido University and universities in the northern parts of Europe.
As a Vice-President of UArctic, the natural context for Ms Snellman’s new role is the UArctic network and in particular its members in the Nordic countries. Hokkaido University has been a member of UArctic since 2011.
A brief appointment ceremony took place on the campus of Hokkaido University on June 6, 2018. The Letter of Appointment was handed to Ms Snellman by Dr Masanori Kasahara, Executive Director and Vice President of Hokkaido University.
Hokkaido University has been appointing University Ambassadors to support and strengthen their global network, community and international public relations activities since April 2016. To date, 31 Ambassadors have been appointed.
