Arctic Council SDWG project "Teacher Education for Diversity and Equality in the Arctic" concludes with great achievements
The Arctic Council Sustainable Development Working Group (SDWG) project "Teacher Education for Diversity and Equality in the Arctic", coordinated by UArctic Thematic Network on Teacher Education, was concluded in the ministerial meeting of Arctic Council on 7th May, 2019 in Rovaniemi.
The deliverables of the project got the final confirmation on accepting them as products of Arctic Council in the ministerial meeting. Due to that, all the deliverables are now published. The deliverables of the project are:
- a special double issue of journal Education in the North "Teacher Education in the Arctic"
- a book "Including the North: a Comparative Study of the Policies on Inclusion and Equity in the Circumpolar North"
- Conclusions
- Final project report
The project and its deliverables were also highlighted in the Arctic Council meeting preview, as well as in the statement by the chair of the meeting.
The project supported the priorities of Finnish Chairmanship of Arctic Council in the field of Education.
