The sessions are 105 minutes long and can be structured around paper presentations, creative workshops, solutions-oriented panel discussions, or other types of presentations from researchers, practitioners, or transdisciplinary author teams followed by discussions with the audience. These suggestions are meant as inspirations, not limitations. The session call is open until November 27, 2022.
Sustainability Science Days (SSD) is a three-day summit for groundbreaking, transdisciplinary research. It is the biggest sustainability science conference in Finland, bringing together the academic community, international top speakers, societal changemakers, and the public to create knowledge, actions, and solutions for a sustainable future.
SSD is now arranged for the sixth time, and its mission is to respond to the high demands and growing megatrends of sustainability science. The conference is arranged in a unique collaboration by Aalto University and the University of Helsinki, Institute of Sustainability Science (HELSUS). Our vision is to bring society’s changemakers together to co-create a common understanding and knowledge about the sustainability crisis and to act in concert towards a global transformation for a sustainable future.
