All members are represented in the Assembly of UArctic, which oversees the development and direction of our organization. Meetings of the Assembly (previously known as Meetings of the Council 2001-2019) also serve as a forum of consultation, networking and cooperation between all members. The Assembly meets once per year.

The co-host UArctic members of the Assembly Meeting 2022 held in the US are the University of New Hampshire, the University of Maine, the University of New England, the University of Southern Maine, and Dartmouth College.

NOTES:

* All member representatives will be contacted directly (by e-mail) during each stage of the meeting preparation process. To see who the representatives are for a given member institution, go to the Member Profile page and select the country and the member in question. The member representatives are listed under Contract information (on the right).

** During the 22nd Council meeting in 2019, members supported the proposal endorsing the establishment of a UArctic legal entity in the form of a non-profit association under the laws of Finland. As a result, and in accordance with the new UArctic Constitution, as of January 1, 2020 members of UArctic (as a whole) are represented as the Assembly of UArctic (previously the Council of UArctic), and in the future the annual membership meeting will be known as a Meeting of the Assembly (previously known as Meetings of the Council). For a full overview on the background and what UArctic’s transition to a legal non-profit association means for the organization and our members, browse the UArctic legal entity – General FAQ.
