Zero Carbon Conference for students – 22-25 February

The Zero Carbon Conference for Students is a four-day international conference and networking event for high school, vocational school and university students. The event will be held online 22-25 February 2022 at 10-12 Eastern European Time (17-19 Japanese Time) each day.

The conference is held in cooperation between Nagano Prefectural Government, Karelia UAS, University of Eastern Finland, Riveria vocational school and ENO Schoolnet Association. It is funded by the European Regional Development Fund and North Karelia Regional Council.

The conference will focus on ways to reduce carbon emissions within four themes:

  • climate change
  • circular economy
  • micro plastics
  • forest resources

The conference will include presentations by experts and students from around the world. The conference is free of charge and can be attended via Zoom and ENO YouTube channel.

The registration is open until 18 February. If you are a teacher, you can register your whole class with one single registration.

Vocational school and university students can extend their participation in the conference to a 2 ECTS university course. Please indicate this in the registration form.

The speakers include professionals from Japan, Finland, Malaysia and Greece. The student speakers represent, for example, Spain, Peru, Japan, Kenya, North Macedonia and Lithuania. Please see the speakers and their profiles from the Speakers page.
