"We have the aim to connect, gain perspectives from the community, and improve APECS’ resources for non-polar researchers.
In 2021, Alpine Cryosphere created the first Alpine Cryosphere Newsletter. Right now we are looking for contributions for the upcoming edition of the APECS Alpine Cryosphere Newsletter.
This is a great opportunity for early-career scientists to share their work, as well as participate in science communication. We will prioritize stories and posts from researchers in their early careers, but we welcome proposals from any career stage. Potential topics for a story/post in the newsletter could be your research in a changing climatic and cryospheric context, fieldwork experience, stories on how it is to be a scientist working in alpine environments, art, and photographs from the field -- but submissions are not limited to these. We also welcome posts on events, networking, or other opportunities that can be relevant for early-career scientists working in mid-latitude and high-altitude environments.
We welcome you to submit your proposal on alpine polar research to pg-alpine-cryo@apecs.is."
