Working hours are 40 hours per week incl. research time.

We expect that:

you have experience in project management
you have a PhD in biological sciences
you are an active researcher with recent publications
you have close knowledge of the Greenlandic educational environment
you can draw on networks within research, education and society in Greenland and Denmark
you are interested in science didactics in a Greenlandic context
The specific tasks are:

close daily collaboration with other employees during the process of biology education
involvement of stakeholders in the education, communication with them and ensuring representation of stakeholders' interests in the structure of the education;
preparation of updated curriculum for the program
preparation of updated budget for the education
securing funding for the education
daily representation of the education, including for meetings, conferences, workshops etc.

About the Joint Administration

The joint administration services the entire university. It is headed by the university director. The joint administration has departments in Ilimmarfik and in Ilinniarfissuaq. The departments work closely with the professional units, but also work together with each other.

The tasks of the joint administration are: study administration, personnel administration, service of the board and the Academic Council as well as other service functions for the university's employees and students. The joint administration is also responsible for the construction operation of Ilimmarfik.

Salary and employment conditions

Salary and terms of employment, including the right to travel and resign and relocate, in accordance with the agreement / agreement in force at the time of accession between the Greenland Home Rule Government and the organization entitled to negotiate.

Housing

Staff accommodation is not assigned to the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to designated staff housing is retained. The staff accommodation is linked to the employment relationship, and must be vacated at the end of the employment relationship.
