The policy analyst and coordinator will be a self-motivated individual with an interest in Arctic research issues for a 20-hour-per-week remote position. They will be responsible for supporting ongoing activities related to IARPS’s collaborative efforts. The position has the potential to grow and evolve over time. The successful candidate will be joining a small, capable staff of dispersed individuals who work remotely but collaboratively.

Duties include:

  • Support the activities of the IARPC Secretariat as needed including things like scheduling, attending, and hosting meetings, developing reports, taking notes, providing input, and collaborating with researchers on IARPC-related activities;
  • Manage and administer collaboration teams and communities of practice as needed to successfully fulfill the Biennial Implementation Plan objectives and deliverables and team-specific activities;
  • Work with the Engagement Director on social media to advertise team activities; and
  • support the process of updating the Biennial Implementation Plan of the Arctic Research Plan 2022-26.

Having a bachelor’s degree is required, preferably within natural science field, or previous experience working in science or science communication, relevant associates degree, or professional certifications.
