Register now: Managing Marine Ecosystems in a Rapidly Warming Arctic Conference
The third International Conference on Ecosystem Approach to Management in the Arctic Large Marine Ecosystems: Managing Marine Ecosystems in a Rapidly Warming Arctic will take place on 16-18 April 2024 in Tromsø, Norway.
This conference will exchange current lessons and best practices for the implementation of EBM in the Arctic and examine how these practices reflects the knowledge, the goals, the advise, and the voices of the people living in and from the Arctic. We explore pathways toward a future with a holistic perspective in managing the regions fast changing marine ecosystem.
This science conference succeeds two successful Ecosystem Approach to Management conferences arranged in 2016 and 2019 by the cross-cutting Ecosystem Approach Expert Group under PAME’s leadership. The third iteration of the conference is part of the official Norwegian Chairship program and co-organized by PAME, AMAP, CAFF and SDWG, as well as two of the Council‘s Observer organizations, the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES) and WWF-Arctic and hosted by the Institute of Marine Research.
