In a collaboration between UArctic, IASSA and High North Center, the conference combines the UArctic Congress 2024, the High North Dialogue 2024, and the International Congress of Arctic Social Sciences (ICASS XI). The Call for Sessions is now open until June 15, 2023.

For sustainable northern futures

The Arctic Congress Bodø 2024 will focus on key themes related to Norway's Arctic Council chairship priorities, including the impacts of climate change, sustainable development, and efforts to enhance the well-being of people living in the region. The themes will also cover Arctic youth and Indigenous peoples as overarching priorities.

The conference will feature four main themes, including oceans, climate and environment, sustainable economic developments, and people of the North. The sessions will cover ocean health and productivity, reducing marine litter and plastic pollution, climate change impacts on Arctic environments and biodiversity, sustainable economic development, and public health.

The conference promises to be a significant highlight of the Arctic calendar and an essential step towards a sustainable and prosperous future for the region.
