The High North Hero Award is an annual award established by the High North Center for Business and Governance to honor a person, organization or company who has contributed to highlighting or developing the High North. The award is handed out during the High North Dialogue Conference in Bodø. The award 2024 is handed out during the High North Dialogue Conference in Bodø as a part of Arctic Congress Bodø 2024.
Call for nominations
Every year, the public is invited to nominate candidates. Citizens from any country in the world are eligible to nominate candidates for the prize and to win the prize. You may nominate an individual, a company or an organization that meets at least one of the criteria below.
There is no requirement that the nominee is from the Arctic or resides in the Arctic; the intention of the Award is to highlight the efforts of a person or an organization whose work has a positive impact in the circumpolar north. Self-nominations are also accepted.

Are you the next winner of the High North Young Entrepreneur?
The High North Young Entrepreneur contest is an international pitch competition of Arctic-related business ideas of young entrepreneurs and start-ups.
The overall goal of the contest is to bring attention to the economic potential and special needs of the High North areas and to encourage young people to develop their business ideas.

High North Dialogue Academy is now open for applications!
The HNC Academy 2024: Arctic Business Perspectives will take place in the Bodø region between May 27th – June 2nd.
The HNC Academy is a one-week seminar for young ambitious future leaders with a particular interest in Arctic societies. Visit the website for application criterias, how to apply and to read some experienses from last year's participants.
The title of this year’s Academy is Arctic Business Perspectives which constitutes the thematic foundation for the content of the Academy program. The students will be schooled in the methodology of Scenario Planning, a strategic tool used to foresee future changes.

10 different countries were represented last year! We welcome students, business professionals, public employees, researchers etc., from all sectors, in the age of 18 to 40, to apply.
