This year's Field Safety Workshop will begin with a presentation by Dr. W. Robert Bolton on the importance of field safety and how to prepare for going into the field. Afterwards, participants will have the opportunity to join four 20-minute breakout rooms addressing potential field work scenarios including wildlife encounters, personal conflict, cultural sensitivity, and emergency preparedness. Each breakout room will have one or two facilitators; however these rooms are meant for participants to share potential approaches and brainstorm together.
The goal of the workshop is for participants to discuss field safety scenarios with their peers to develop their skills. USPA members and non-members are welcomed and encouraged to join this workshop.
Workshop registration is limited to 60 participants.
