Call for applicants: New LL.M. program on One Health in European and International Law
Applications are open to Join the LL.M. Program on One Health in European and International Law at Aix-Marseille University.
The Faculty of Law and Political Science of Aix-Marseille University are thrilled to announce the launch, in January 2026, of a new LLM program on the One Health approach in European and International Law, at the interface between human health, animal health, and the environment.
For millennia, Its been known that human, animal, and ecosystem health are inextricably linked. Yet the general awareness of this interdependence has faded in favour of siloed approaches to human health, animal health and environment protection. Law is no exception to that. Legal systems are highly fragmented and specialised. Health law, environmental law, animal protection law, human rights law, trade law… all have evolved into separate expertise, logics, and subsidiarity rules across different legal systems, from local to global levels.
This fragmentation poses challenges when it comes to effectively addressing global health threats, as demonstrated by the COVID-19 pandemic, which underscored the need for a holistic approach to public health that transcends traditional disciplinary boundaries. This program gives the legal background and tools to tackle global health challenges with a One Health approach.
This is a program for anyone who has a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in law, political science, public administration or any other related field. Applicants must be able to demonstrate a very good level of English (C1-C2) a certificate, international experience. Applicants who are interested should fill in the submission form by 5 December.
