This year's event will take place 2025.12.10-12.12 and focus on, A Decade of Cooperation: Co-navigating a Sustainable Arctic Future.

As the official observer state of the Arctic Council, the Republic of Korea is realizing the need for international cooperation to cope with the sustainability issues of the Arctic based on its expertise in various fields such as politics, economy, and science. Based on this recognition, the Republic of Korea has been hosting the 'Arctic Partnership Week (APW) every year since 2016, becoming the first and most representative forum among observer countries.

APW is a venue where various stakeholders at home and abroad – government, academia, research institutes, industry, civil society – gather together to promote cooperation and discussions in various fields, including Arctic policy, polar science, shipping and sea routes, indigenous peoples and cultures, and response to climate change. It has also contributed to enhancing social interest and understanding of the Arctic, including programs for general public participation (citizen lectures, special lectures, experience zones, etc.).

Marking the 10th anniversary of 2025, APW is introducing a wider range of participation and enhanced programs. It aims to expand the scale and scope of participation and reorganize the program to further enhance its status as an international event.

Through this opportunity, the Republic of Korea intends to contribute to building a sustainable future by collaborating with the Arctic and non-Arctic sectors in the face of global challenges such as climate change.
