Extended deadline for abstracts & updates on UArctic Congress 2026 and Ocean Connectivity Conference
The UArctic Congress 2026 abstract submissions deadline has been extended to 15 January 2026. In addition, the event website has updated information on e.g. registration fees, student scholarships, and accommodation options.
Extended Abstract Submission Deadline
The deadline for the UArctic Congress 2026 call for abstract proposals has been extended to 15 January 2026. This gives you additional time to prepare and submit your contributions to the UArctic Congress 2026.
The list of sessions that are open for abstract submissions, including session descriptions, is available on the call pages. For detailed submission guidelines, abstract requirements, and to submit your abstract, please see the full Call for Abstract Proposals on the Congress website.
Updates on registration and participation
The UArctic Congress 2026 website at www.uarcticcongress.fo has just been updated with new information that will help you plan your participation in the event:
- Registration opening and fees, and what is included
- Student scholarships
- Accommodation options and hotel discount codes
- Traveling to the Faroe Islands
The Congress registration also covers the Ocean Connectivity Conference which is organized by the Kingdom of Denmark's Chairship of the Arctic Council in partnership with UArctic and the University of the Faroe Islands and is embedded in the Congress.
The UArctic Assembly (UArctic’s annual members meeting) and the UArctic Rectors’ Forum are also covered by the Congress registration fee for eligible participants.

The UArctic Congress 2026 will take place in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands from May 26 to 29, 2026. The event is hosted by the University of the Faroe Islands in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Culture, and the Faroe Marine Research Institute.
