This anniversary will be a pivotal moment to reflect on the principles of academic freedom and university values.
We are encouraging all UArctic member institutions to save the date in their calendars and stay tuned for more details in the coming months.
The Magna Charta Observarory invites all UArctic members to become signatories of the Magna Charta Universitatum 2020, a declaration of the core values that define universities worldwide - academic freedom, institutional uutonomy, research, internationalisation, equality and serving society.
By signing the MCU 2020, universities will:
- Demonstrate their dedication to the fundamental values that underpin academic excellence and societal progress.
- Join an esteemed network of institutions that collaborate to enhance higher education worldwide.
- Gain access to initiatives such as the Living Values Project, research collaborations, conferences, webinars, and student competitions designed to support and promote these shared principles.
