The Aurora Research Institute (ARI) is the research division of Aurora College. Our Mission is to develop our Northern society through excellence in education, training and research that is culturally sensitive and responsive to the people we serve.
As the research division of Aurora College, Aurora Research Institute (ARI)'s mandate is to improve the quality of life for NWT residents by applying scientific, technological and Indigenous knowledge to solve northern problems and advance social and economic goals.

ARI provides its services through our three research offices: our headquarters and the Western Arctic Research Centre in Inuvik, the South Slave Research Centre in Fort Smith, and the North Slave Research Centre in Yellowknife.
