This session will be chaired by Kirsi Latola, UArctic Vice-President Networks.
The International Arctic Science Committee (IASC) is coordinating a multi-year planning process for the Fourth International Conference on Arctic Research Planning (ICARP IV) lasting from 2022 until 2026. The process will engage Arctic researchers, policy makers, residents and stakeholders from around the world to collegially discuss the state of Arctic science. As a partner in ICARP IV, University of the Arctic will engage with its community for collecting needs and research priorities for the future research.

We will set sail on the St. Lawrence river from Old Quebec to Montmorency Falls aboard the Louis Jolliet, making a stops at Île d'Orléans and enjoying a breathtaking view of the Château Frontenac. A tour-guide will point out the sites and provide information about the history of Quebec City. Food is available for purchase at the on-board bistro.

The discussion will be facilitated by Lars Kullerud, President of UArctic, and feature a diverse panel of experts from different fields.
The panel discussion will focus on different issues related to sustainable development and climate changes in the northern and Arctic regions. Audience members will have the opportunity to raise questions and make comments following the panel discussion.
