Nordic Observatory Collaboration

NOC was formally established in 2018 in order to foster collaboration in routine observations and instrumentation in the area of Finland, Sweden, Norway, Svalbard and Kola peninsula (Russia). The main focus of the collaboration is on geomagnetic, near-Earth space and atmospheric observations, but many of the partners also operate other instruments, like, in the case of Sodankylä Geophysical Observatory (SGO), Neutron Monitors for galactic cosmic ray observations as well as seismometers. SGO is a founding member of NOC.
