The Thematic Network fosters collaboration knowledge mobilization, and capacity building among institutions, communities, researchers, educators, practitioners, and other partners working to strengthen Indigenous and minority languages across Northern and circumpolar regions.
The Network provides a platform for members to connect, exchange knowledge and experiences, identify shared challenges and opportunities, and explore areas for collaboration. Recognizing that Indigenous and minority languages are grounded in distinct histories, realities, cultures, and contexts, the Network encourages reciprocal learning while respecting these differences.
The Network aims to facilitate the sharing and mobilization of knowledge, strengthen relationships across Northern and circumpolar regions, and create opportunities for collaborative initiatives that respond to the priorities of participating communities and organizations.
Specific priorities and activities are co-developed by Network members through a collaborative planning process. These may evolve over time as relationships develop, new priorities emerge, and opportunities for cooperation are identified.
