Borealis Conference 2007 to be held in Alta in March
The city of Alta, Norway, will be host to the Borealis Conference 2007: Building capacity for sustainable places in the Circumpolar North - through a integrated local/global problem-solving perspective on March 5-7 2007.
The conference is organized by the UArctic Thematic Network on Regional Development in the North, among other partners, including The Norwegian State Housing Bank, Finnmark University College and the Arctic Council.
Focussing on the special architectural and technological, as well as cultural, environmental and economical challenges different places in the North are facing, the Borealis Conference will feature various sessions on themes relevant to housing, city planning and regional development in the Circumpolar North.
The conference will be part of the city of Alta's Borealis Festival, which features winter cultural and musical activities.
